Frost Summary



Frost occurs when the temperature is below the dew point (the point at which moisture will condense out of the air) and the dew point is below zero. (If the dew point is above zero, dew forms).

Frost is likely to occur if  ’pink bars’ appear on the graph.

The frost risk calculation as displayed on the graph tallies the number of hours in each 24-hour period, where the temperature was below 2 degrees (because this calculation is accumulated over a full day, the latest figure will be for the previous day).
